Granola takes the notes you type during a meeting and finishes them afterwards, using the audio from your own machine. The result reads like your notes rather than a transcript — which is the point, and the reason people who dislike notetakers tend to like this one.
Because it is a desktop app and not a participant, there is no bot in the call and nothing to explain to the people you are meeting. The trade-off is that it captures what your computer hears, so it fits laptop-based calls better than a conference room.
